Waste Water Over flow...




Service Call: Under counter bar cooler warm. I checked out the system and sure enough it was short on refrigerant. I found a pinhole leak on the evaporator on my leak check. To get them by I was going to top up the system with R-22. In the middle of doing so, the waste water drain from the condensers started overflowing water all over the mechanical and electrical room. Soon after the building engineers came up. They were not happy! They attempted to clear the drainage trap with the rigid snake... When that failed they ended up replacing the trap it self. I don't have a picture of it but man was it plugged. I guess when system was recharged the water valve must have opened all the way and the restricted drain could not drain the additional new load
