Defective Rheem control module...

When I arrived the compressor was tripping out on the low pressure control and the evaporator was iced up. The Rheem control board failed to send 208 volts to the fan contactor. The office was 80 degrees F so I rewired the fan to run full time until I got back with a replacement board.


After I installed the new board the fan would still not energize and the contactor just hummed. There was now proper voltage to the contactor but the coil was not strong enough to pull in the contacts. I installed a spare contactor from the truck.
