- Oxidation resistance… resist water and O2
- Moisture content…dryness of oil
- Chemical stability… in presence or metal or refrigerants will chemicals
in the oils attack the metal and ref.
- Flash point… the temperature at which the oil vapor flash burns
- Fire point…the temperature at which the oil maintains combustion
