Application:
- Used as a safety control
- Used on compressor equipment with an oil pump
- To protect the compressor from loss of oil pressure
Operation:
- Pressure differential controller
- Opens on decrease on net pressure
- Sensing element senses suction pressure and oil pump pressure
- Time delay to all compressor to start (90 sec or 120 sec)
- Usually manually reset
Setting:
- Net oil pressure = oil pump pressure – suction pressure
- Minimum oil pressure….10 PSIG net oil pressure
- Normal oil pressure…. 30-40 PSIG net oil pressure
