Maintenance Requirement for Condensers

Water cooled (keep water passages clear)

•  flange type tube in tube and shell and tube may be descaled by the use of special brushes

•  shell and coil must be chemically cleaned using an inhibited solution of 18% muriatic acid for scale removal

•  check condenser for leaks

•  flush water valve

•  check water inlet/outlet temperature

Air cooled (keep condenser air passages clean)

•  clean condenser coils with an commercial cleaning agent such as Cal-Clean

•  ensure fan mounting is secure and operating properly
