Partially plugged capillary tube and low refrigerant charge
Low suction pressure, high superheat, no temperature difference across the coils. This cooler had some issues!
I recovered the refrigerant and blasted nitrogen into the high side to just over 150 PSIG. There was definitely some sort of obstruction in the capillary tube because the suction pressure barley increased. After confirming that the filter drier was not the source of the obstruction I decided to replace the cap tube.
I replaced the existing drier with a Sporlan C-032
These lines are ready to be insulated. I grabbed some cork tape from the van
The bar I was working in was on the fifth floor of the stadium. I'll be coming back for the beer on game night!
