Boiler Maintenance...




We shut down the boilers one at a time in a way that the hot water demand was always satisfied. We started off by turning the boiler off and closing the supply gas valve. After disconnecting the gas manifold the burners easily pulled out.



We took a wire brush to the ribbon burners to clean them. The flame sensor in the middle was cleaned off with a scotch pad. A file and sand cloth is much to abrasive to use and will damage the sensor.



This is the heat exchanger. More challenging to access it was again cleaned with a wire brush.
