Blanchard-Ness Evaporator...

This unit had some issues. The ice up was due to the unit continuously running with out the capacity to satisfy the cooling requirement (35 F - These units defrost on the off cycle). The lost capacity was because of a short refrigerant charge. After defrosting the coil the unit was leak check. There was a pinhole leak in the evaporator. The quarter tonne tx valve had a rusty power element. I made the call to install all new guts to this system. New Blanchard-Ness evaporator, tx valve, solenoid valve, and wiring. To replace it all made the job go faster and the system more reliable.

This loctite product is great. It was NOT applied to the flare. I applied it to the threads to lubricate the connection.
